Jim Walding
Inspired by landscape, Jim seeks to depict solitude, peacefulness contentment and celebration in his paintings. Through the use of watercolour, he blends a range of tones to create a colour palette that emphasises the ambience of a scene. Jim's paintings use free-style brush strokes and a range of depth and tone along with application of other mediums to enhance his interpretations of the subject and capture the light and mood.
He studied at Central School of Art and Design, now Central Saint Martins, where he secured a BA (hons) in Ceramics. Drawing and painting were very much an integral part of his training and have now become the focus of his work.
