Guest Artist - Victoria Kirtley

Victoria Kirtley is a full-time British wildlife artist based in Exeter. With a passion for nature and the ever-changing light of the West Country, she captures the wild spirit of places like the Exe Estuary in a fresh, contemporary style. Her expressive brushwork, combined with her signature distressed gilding in gold, silver or copper, brings movement, shimmer and life to every piece. Her unique approach to distressed gilding is truly one-of-a-kind and well worth seeing up close.

'The new collection created especially for Seaglass Gallery is called “Living Life on the Exe”, which captures the soul of our estuary; shimmering mussel and oyster shells, bright lobsters and sardines and the iconic curlews that dot our shoreline.

If you’re a bird watcher who knows the call of the curlew and avocet, a nature lover who breathes easier by the water, an art collector who cherishes pieces that bring the wild coast indoors or simply someone who lives and loves life on the Exe - this exhibition is for you.

The exhibition runs from 1st - 29th April 2026 at Seaglass Gallery in Lympstone. Pop in and say hello and immerse yourself in the place we’re so lucky to call home.'
