Melanie Bowler

Melanie studied at  Berkshire College of Art and Design and Plymouth College of Art and Design where she gained an  HND in Design Metals. Melanie has won four awards to date:

• Royal Society of British Sculptors        

 medal design competition

• Prince’s Trust       

 bursary

• Antony Everett  Award ( Prince’s Trust)

•Michael Spiers Jewellery award ( Southwest Academy Summer Exhibition)

She set up her own business in 1995 and has been making and designing jewellery ever since.

Melanie has been  teaching  the art of silver smithing since 1999, in and around venues in the South West.

Melanie is now based in Chudleigh, Devon, where she has a busy working jewellery studio. She works to commission specialising in recycling and remodelling customers old or inherited Jewellery into new wearable family heirlooms for the next generation.
