Guest Artist - Rachel Z Garner

​With her Fine Art /History of Art degree from Newcastle University, Rachel Z Garner has trekked south, exhibiting in Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire along the way.Now firmly settled in Devon, her style has evolved from pure abstraction to a semi-figurativestyle, although the underlying current of her work remains the same; endeavouring tocapture, with her use of colour and layers a sense of place. The most recent pieces, usingresin, plaster, oil pigment and varnish, further enhance the experience using texture, colourand the juxtaposition of mediums.From ‘plein air’ painting on the moor to the more abstract pieces, she aims to portray theessence of the scene and strives to take the viewer along with her!
