Doug Gilding

Doug is a predominantly self-taught landscape artist. Since retiring from the military he has embarked on numerous courses with a variety of professional artists to refine his passion for capturing landscapes, both painting outdoors and in the studio. 

He paints in oils, watercolour and acrylic, often painting ‘En Plein Air’. The East Devon countryside provides a myriad of material to draw on; much of his work involves coastal or water-based scenes.
