Rob Gunnell has  been painting for over 40 years, basically self-taught, he is  a retired child protection social worker from Birmingham. Since retiring he has facilitated art groups/workshops for Birmingham MIND  and groups in a local hospice. He is  currently involved in developing street art in his  locality too. Rob spends time in Exmouth each year and is influenced by the buildings and the sea.

His style has changed and is changing depending  on how he feels and connects with the landscape. Preferring bright, vibrant colours, Rob feels they are more conducive to a loose approach -freedom of space and colour!
