Graham Dimmock

Graham Dimmock is a Devon based artist using Dartmoor and the West Country, along with his travels abroad, as his main influences. Poetry, prose and music influence his development of more surreal and sometimes fully abstracted work which attempts to express something of the human condition through landscape.

Whilst living in the Midlands in the 1960s he exhibited successfully with the Birmingham Watercolour Society, his time in East Anglia led to experimentation with mixed media in a looser style and wall hangings combining acrylic paint and open weaving. In Cornwall in the 90s, many commissions were undertaken using weaving whilst at the same time his connection was deepened with a more abstract form of landscape painting.
